“Mike and his Team pulled a Cat 6 run for me as I needed to relocate my router to maximize Wi-Fi coverage. I was so impressed with their knowledge and professionalism that I had them back to hang a TV. I’ve hung plenty of TV’s but did not want to risk drilling into my new electric fireplace wall made of tile. They are prompt, precise and know exactly what they are doing! Give them a call. You will not be disappointed.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How expensive are you?

We are definitely not the cheapest team for the job, nor are we the most expensive – but we truly believe we are the best at what we do. There is a lot of truth to the saying ‘you get what you pay for’. We spend countless hours meticulously designing your system; site visits, manufacturer consultations, tradesmen coordination, design drafting, proposal building, order processing, pre-assembly, and much more. We also reinvest in technician training and attend technology summits regularly to ensure our team is well-versed in the latest technologies. Suffice to say: There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. Clients who have worked with us have expressed not realizing how involved the process truly would be, and are continually impressed at the level of service we provide.

Are you able to price match?

Yes. On current year gear from the top brands, our sales price is the same that you can expect from Best Buy or other major national chains. We also receive the same National Discount programs from the major brands like Samsung, Sony, and LG. We cannot price match any offers on Open-Box or Refurbished items from other stores. We do not offer “Black Friday” discounts. Amazon, Walmart, Costco, and Sam’s Club are not acceptable “competitor’s prices”.

Can’t I just buy my own gear and have you install it?

Short answer: no. Long answer: yes, with exceptions. On a case by case basis, we may agree to install products you bring to a new project, but there will be impacts to the warranty and support of your system. Without knowing the origins or history of your product, we have no way of knowing if it could adversely affect our system operations or damage a new product. Also note that our status with many manufacturers prohibits us from installing or servicing any products not purchased by authorized resellers (Amazon or other web stores).

Why are you running Coaxial Cable, isn’t that dead technology?

Coaxial cabling is still extremely relevant, not to mention dirt-cheap and highly versatile. If you live in an area with terrestrial cable, it’s still one of the best ways to distribute that service to all of your TVs. Although many providers are switching to streaming apps, there are simply many desirable features that you still need a box for. Plan on using Dish Network or DirecTV? Coaxial prewiring prevents them from needing to tack cables around your new home, and ensures much better connectivity between their receivers. Lastly, abandoning satellite and cable altogether? Well, most areas have at least 75+ absolutely free digital channels (including true local channels) available by just installing an antenna, which still requires coaxial cable.

Do I really need all those wires?

YES. Installing adequate infrastructure is critical to having an excellent technology experience. There are thousands of products on the market for wireless audio, wireless video, and wireless light switches, but they exist to solve problems where cabling is not available. Most of these devices do not lend themselves to being concealed well, and still need to be plugged into a receptacle, limiting your placement options. Planning ahead can ensure your device goes where you want it, looks the way you want it to look, and is always ready when you want to use it. Also, having an abundance of wireless devices on your network affects the overall bandwidth to devices that have to be wireless, like phones and tablets. Any device that comes with a LAN port really should be hardwired. Hardwired will always be faster and more reliable (which reduces service calls).

Should I be running Cat8?

Generally speaking, no. Without going into to too much technical detail, most homes will have sufficient data speeds using Cat6a (10 Gb). Cat8 cable is rated for up to 40 Gb, which is primarily used in data centers, and terminating it is still rather expensive. If you’re worried about long-term bandwidth needs, it is more cost effective to install single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic cable run with copper data cables to truly future-proof your home. This way, the copper cable can be used for power later, and your fiber will transfer up to 100 Gbps or more.

Why do you use 14 Gauge speaker wire, my guy quoted 16 Gauge?

Simply put, 16 Gauge wire is really only supposed to be run up to 25′. Great speakers love plenty of power. If your home was wired with 16 gauge wire, it will certainly work, just don’t go upgrading your speaker package because they won’t get enough power to truly hear the difference. Most distributed audio systems call for 10 or even 8 gauge wire to meet full specification based on speaker distances, but 14 gauge is a great place to be for most homes. Larger gauges are offered when considering highly exclusive speakers or amplifiers.
